Arrivals and Departures at TOC
Laura Baratta, the center's business manager for the past five years, has left to be a full-time mother. During her tenure, she worked closely with Director of Operations Jamie Dorrian on the center's finances and with Director of Marketing and Production Russell La Valle on the Objectivism Store. "She was a terrific asset to the center and will be sorely missed," said Dorrian.
Linda Bloomer has been hired as a part-time bookkeeper to take on some of the business manager's work. She holds an associate's degree in accounting and is currently pursuing her bachelor's degree at SUNY New Paltz. Bloomer, who most recently worked as a junior accountant for Cellular One, will assist Director of Operations Jamie Dorrian in managing the center's finances.
The center has also hired a full-time administrative assistant, David Shetterly. He will provide administrative support to the Objectivism Store and the center's business division.
